Mad River Mountain Racing & Development Programs

  • Our Mission: Our mission is to ignite a love for snow sports in young athletes while empowering them to achieve their fullest potential. We strive to foster responsible citizenship and instill a deep sense of sportsmanship in every individual we guide.
  • Our Values: Mad River Race Values of excellence, grit, passion, integrity, community, fun, and team.
  • Our Vision: To inspire and guide young athletes in developing their racing skills, fostering a love for snow sports, and cultivating strong sportsmanship and responsible citizenship as they strive to reach their full potential.

We are dedicated to helping athletes develop skills that match their age and ability. Our experienced coaches use cutting-edge techniques from the US Ski and Snowboard Association and the Professional Ski Instructors of America to enhance racing skills and strategies. By fostering a safe, enjoyable, and effective resort-based learning environment at Mad River, we empower junior racers to thrive in a variety of conditions and race courses.

Each program is designed to offer a clear progression of skill development tailored to the athlete’s current abilities. Training focuses on key areas such as free skiing, balance drills, mastering turn shapes, and gate drills, ensuring a comprehensive approach to improving performance.
