Winterfest Weekend is here! This morning we woke up to a pleasant surprise, fresh snow, enough to cancel our children’s schools. 1 to 2 inches fell overnight, adding a fresh natural snow surface to the slopes. Another batch of snow is forecast to move in tonight adding more powder for Winterfest 2012.

The Avalanche Tubing Park is Open Today 5pm to 1am

Celebrate Winterfest Weekend and our 50th season by tubing at The Avalanche Tubing Park. Ladies and Gentlemen prepare for the wildest ride of your life. The Park is now offering the best ride in resort history featuring 10 rolling chutes ranging from mild to wild.

This Saturday, January 28th is Winterfest 2012.. This season we are celebrating a major milestone,  50 seasons of skiing at Ohio's Largest Ski Resort. We have a big day planned for the Ohio Skiing and Riding Community featuring the Mad River Open Ski Races, live music, cash purse big air, fireworks, and for the youngsters a visit by Jungle Jack's Animal Friends. Sunday at 1pm, we will honor Hans Dorn and several other prominent members of the Ski Patrol, Ski School and Resort Staff for their years of dedication.

Celebrate our 50th Season and January as National Learn to Ski Month at Winterfest Weekend by learning to ski or ride. This weekend our Learning Center and Children's Adventure Place will be fully staffed. Adventure Place will offer our traditional 10:30a and 1:30p sessions as well as the new Full Day Program which includes LUNCH! Reservations are required for our new Full Day Program as space is limited. Our slopeside rental department is stocked full of the latest and greatest skis, boots and boards for everyone ages 4 and up.
