Rental Equipment

Our state-of-the-art, slopeside facility is designed with conveinence in mind.  After you purchased your rental ticket at our windows simply walk 50 feet and you'll be greeted by one of our friendly rental technicians who will walk you through our three step process - boot sizing, equipment settings, and pointing you in the right direction.  It's that easy.  

Every off-season Mad River continually updates our equipment to ensure we have the most up-to-date equipment to learn on and to enjoy your day on the slopes. 

We suggest all skiers and riders, old or young, to be safe while enjoying our great winter sports.  Helmets are also provided in our rental facility and we urge beginners especially to rent a helmet. 

HELPFUL INFORMATION

We know everyone doesn't have their own equipment, that's why we annually update our ski, boards and boots to provide the best experience for our customers.

Ski Sizing
Skis sizes available: 80cm (children's) to 177cm (adult); Ski boot sizes available: Adult 5 to 16; Kids 5 to 4Y. Our rental equipment includes Rossignol and HEAD skis and HEAD boots. Our rental skis and boots are annually updated, offering you the best selection possible.

Snowboard Sizing
Snowboards range in size from 90cm to 165cm. We utilize Burton, Bond, Head and Rossignol brand equipment. Our rental facility offers strap bindings for a solid power transfer from your legs to your board. Snowboard boot sizes range from size 1 (child) through size 15 (adult).

Equipment not included with free lift tickets. 
Those ages 6 and under and 75 and over are eligible to receive a free lift ticket. Rental equipment and lessons are not included.

Rental Agreements
Our rental equipment (skis, boards, boots, and bindings) is backed by the manufacturers and is designed to be used together. We do not offer partial rentals.

Season Rentals
Along with the purchase of your season pass, we offer convenient, seasonal rental plans for both skiers and snowboarders. Add on our season long rental option to your pass and be sure that our expert staff will fit you in the latest and greatest rental equipment available. A season pass is required for seasonal rentals. 

Lost or Stolen Equipment
Loss or theft of equipment is the responsibility of the renter. You assume total responsibility of the equipment from the moment it is received. Do not leave equipment unattended in public areas for extended periods of time without locking them away. We offer a Ski Check facility located at the base of the slopes adjacent to the Lodge.  A very cheap alternative to having your/our equipment stolen!   Only $.50 per day, unlimited use or $1.00 for the entire season. A useful loss prevention measure is to split your skis with another member of your group or use the ski check to deter theft. In the case of equipment not returned, under whatever circumstances, the renter will be charged the purchase cost of the equipment new, plus the rental cost. AKA don't lose it.
