Winterfest Weekend is Here! For anyone who doesnt know, this is our long running Mid-Winter Celebration, featuring live entertainment, ski races, a cash purse BIG AIR event, and to top it off, new for this season, an extensive Firework Display.

To celebrate the event, we have stacks of prizes to give-away all weekend long. Bud Light has provided a wide variety of branded prizes for this years event, including two Burton snowboards, a pair of Atomic twin-tip skis, outerwear, goggles, and hundreds of t-shirts, hats and other goodies. One lucky winner will walk away with the grand prize, a trip for two to Mount Snow including airfare to and from Albany, New York, three days of skiing and riding at Mt Snow, and two nights of lodging at the Historic Old Red Mill Inn located in the heart of Wilmington Village.

The events kickoff at 10am with several ski and snowboard races hosted by the MRM Race Team as the first leg of the two day Mad River Open. Don't worry about space, we have 144 acres and the race event will take place on the Chute and only occupy a small portion of the Slopes. The Chute will reopen following the races for your skiing pleasure.

Live entertainment will begin at 5pm with a Rhythm and Blues set courtesy of Kress, Ross and Huff followed by everyones favorite park event The Big Air at 8pm. The top rider in both the Ski and Snowboard category will walk away with $200 and the top three in each category will pick up some great prizes. The Skratchmatik Crew will be providing the beats while Rob Knight announces the Big Air from the new park deck.

This will be the best Midnight Madness break of the season. At 10pm we will light up the Sky over Valley Hi with a Firework Display designed to be visible from all points across the Resort. Immediately following the Fireworks, head towards the Loft, at 10:30pm we will be giving away a trip for two to Southern Vermont's destination Resort, Mount Snow along with skis, boards and outerwear. Registration for the trip is free and will be held at the stage from 8pm-10pm for everyone 21 and up. Big Air and Mad River Open participants will be automatically entered.

Get ready for everyone's favorite reggae act, The Ark Band will take the stage at 10:30pm and begin after the Awards. They will be performing your favorite calypso tunes, keeping you dancing through the end of the Midnight Madness Session. Welcome to Ohio, This is Winterfest 2011
