Adventure Place Lesson Program

ABOUT ADVENTURE PLACE

The staff at the Mad River Mountain Learning Center love teaching kids the sports of skiing and snowboarding. The Adventure Place program is a two-hour kid-only (4 to 12 years) lesson program that caters to both beginners and more advanced kids. The Adventure Place program is offered every Saturday and Sunday as well as on holidays. Lessons are tailored to the age, maturity, and ability level of the child while focusing on learning, fun, and safety.

Mad River offers single session tickets as well as a two session package. When your child participates in the Adventure Place program he/she receives an all-day lift ticket, two-hour lesson (each session), complete equipment rental, and a photograph of the whole group at the end of the lesson. Once the lesson is over your child is free to practice their skills on the rest of the mountain (where their ability level permits) for the rest of the day.

No reservations are needed for Adventure Place, simply purchase your package at the ticket office. However, tickets must be purchased at least one hour prior to the start of the lesson and space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

ABILITY LEVELS The Adventure Place program has two ability levels, beginner and advanced. Your child will be placed in the appropriate group based on skills, age, and maturity.

Explorers
The Explorers level is for children with little or no experience skiing or snowboarding and the group will stay in the beginner area of the mountain. We recognize that two hours of any activity can be tiring for kids, so a hot chocolate break is taken during the lesson (hot chocolate provided).

Sno-Blasters
The Sno-Blasters level is for more advanced children who are able to ride the chair lift as well as beginning to master the skills of stopping and turning. This group may venture outside of the beginner area to other areas of the mountain.

CHILDREN'S ADVENTURE PLACE HIGH FIVE
New for this Season! Our all new Adventure Place multi-use program will help your childs skills on the snow blossom this winter. Each week, Children can get caring guidance and helpful tips from our specially trained Learning Center staff. From the fulfillment of mastering the slopes, to venturing through the New Enchanted Forest, children will enjoy every step on their journey to a lifelong love for snow sports.
