About Mad River Mountain
Located in Zanesfield, OH (between Marysville and Bellefontaine on US 33), Mad River Mountain was opened in 1962 and will start it's 46th year in operation this season. But did you know that MRM is only one of many other ski areas owned and operated by Peak Resorts, Inc.? These areas are

Mad River Mountain is the place for winter Family Fun. We offer a wide variety of activities. You will find 23 trails for skiing or snowboarding, including 3 different Terrain Parks for those who want a little altitude and the NEW AVALANCHE TUBING PARK with 10 CHUTES that are 900 FEET LONG each!!!
With a state-of-the-art snowmaking system we cover 100% of our 144 acres and have lots of snow in our backyard, even when your front yard has none. Grab your family and friends and spend a day where winter is FUN! Mad River Mountain Resort is located off Route 33, a four lane highway, near Bellefontaine, Ohio, within one hour from Columbus, Dayton, Springfield and Lima.Â
Mad River Mountain's season runs December through March, depending on weather and skier interest.
Mad River Mountain Resort has 23 trails ranging in skill level and difficulty:
- Easiest Trails: Discovery Beginner Area, Fanny Hill Beginner Area, Summit Trail, Sundowner Family Comfort Zone, Valley View
- More Difficult Trails: Lower Mad River, Regulator, Upper Sidewinder, Lower Sidewinder, Short Cut, Twister, and the 2 new trails Eagles Nest and Deer Run
- Most Difficult : Drop Out, Peril, Sugar Bush, Cross-Cut, Upper Mad River Run, The Chute
- Experts Only Trails: Chute Glade, Sidewinder Glade
- Terrain Parks: Momentum, Upper and Lower Launch Pad

SNOW CAPACITY
Mad River Mountain's average annual snowfall measures 36 inches. Snowmaking equipment owned by the resort permits 100% coverage of all ski, snowboarding and tubing areas when man-made snow is needed for optimum skiing/snowboarding/tubing. Mad River Mountain has the largest snowmaking system in Ohio.
