THE "HUMP DAY" ADULT RACE LEAGUE - Wednesday Nights

Mad River Mountain staff invites all 21+ guests to try a new fun, competitive league THE ADULT RACE LEAGUE OR THE "HUMP DAY" LEAGUE as we like to call it.  

Every Wednesday night we will have a fun filled race event down the heart of Mad River.  Racing will be fun for all abilities and snowboarders.  If you are a world record holder or on skis for only your 2nd year our handicapping system will ensure fun for all. 

We plan on having 8 races this year starting January 4th and going through the end of February.  Each night we'll run a GS style event.  Each participant will have two runs to score their best time of the night.  Racers are encouraged to create teams this year of at least 6 people per team.  The top 3 scores from each week will go towards your team, and your individual score will go towards the end of season party.  

Each race will be video taped and shown in the Loft after the race has been completed.  While you're in the Loft we'll be sure to have drink specials, pizza specials, and bib raffles featuring product from our weekly sponsors - BEER AND ALCOHOL COMPANIES!  

FEES FOR THE LEAGUE ARE ONLY $40 FOR THE SEASON or SIGN UP FOR THE ENTIRE MAD RIVER MOUNTAIN RACE LEAGUE (MRRL) FOR ONLY $90!!!!!  Each individual race is only $6 if you want to pay as you go.  

RACE TIMES ARE BETWEEN 7PM AND 8:30PM.  THE PARTY IN THE BAR STARTS IMMEDIATELY AFTER.

Registration (first one time/season payment) for the league will take place in WHERE ELSE: THE BAR. 

This is meant to be a fun way to get out and enjoy the winter with friends.  AS YOU WILL SEE BY OUR SCHEDULE - WE'RE LOOKING TO HAVE FUN!

SCHEDULE:

Wednesday, January 4th - SEEDING GS & OPENING NIGHT - RESULTS

Our first two weeks of racing will be used as seeding events.  Your scores and times will determine which division you're in.  The points will count and we'll award 1st, 2nd & 3rd at the January 18th event.  

Wednesday, January 11th - SEEDING GS & PBR PITCHER NIGHT

PBR will be on hand with some sweet giveaways and we'll have a $5 special on PBR Pitchers that evening!!!  

Wednesday, January 18th - PABST BLUE RIBBON SPEED GUN CHALLENGE 

Earn double points as we'll set up a lane for a speed gun challenge!  Be fast and score some PBR gear!  

Wednesday, January 25th - MUSTACHE GS NIGHT  

Earn extra points for having the sweetest mustache while you race.  Drawn, applied, or actual mustaches are all eligible. 

Wednesday, February 1st - Y RACE NIGHT. 

A new twist and extra points on a GS.  Race in a typical GS atop the race course for one time then B Line it to the traditional finish for a second time.  Set as a Dual so you might have to throw some Elbows at your competitor as you ski by!  

Wednesday, February 8th - JAGERMEISTER "OH SO SMOOTH" RACE DAY

Jagermeister will be joining us this evening and will have specials in the bar after the race.  All racers will have to do a shot then race down the course.  We're kidding or are we?

Wednesday, February 15th - MEXICAN RACE NIGHT

All racers will be required to race with a Sombrero On.  No we're not kidding.  Try to make it down the hill quickly without losing your hat.   You must cross the finish line with the hat on. Tacos, Tequilla, and Corona will be on special in the Loft after the race.  Vote on the race for the following week.  We'll take suggestions throughout the year and then put them up for a vote.

Wednesday, February 29th - FINALS & LEAP DAY!  

Yup you guessed it we'll have jumps and some banked turns in the course for this evening's event!  Afterwards we'll have our awards party complete with spaghetti dinner and a huge prize giveaway.
